This is your opportunity to demand more walking, public transport & cycling measures and less traffic, pollution & carbon emissions. Hampshire County Council is asking for views on the latest Winchester Movement Strategy.

What is the Winchester Movement Strategy?

It is a 30 year plan for travel in Winchester. So far the proposals are too weak to reduce global heating and air pollution—both of which are deadly.  As residents we have been asked to comment to impact how we want transport to look.

Who could you do?

Add your support where you think it makes sense by demanding much more radical walking and cycling measures, also:

• Rule out a new Park & Ride proposal. One proposal is an 800 space Park and Ride on Andover Road that could increase global heating by encouraging traffic. 

• Call for a proper bus interchange. One proposal is to remove the integrated bus interchange and replace with on-street bus stops which will really damage bus services in our city
